”Investigation is in progress”- FCT police command reacts to reports of 17 persons including pregnant women abducted from their homes
The FCT police command has reacted to reports of 17 persons being abducted from their homes by men wearing police uniforms.
A Twitter user @Ameerah_Sufyan took to her handle to raise the alarm after she alongside the other victims were abducted. She wrote;
”Please whoever has my WhatsApp number I sent a broadcast message of my location, we were abducted at gun point by ppl with police uniforms and a van from our houses from different parts of abuja, we’re 17 including 3 pregnant women and two little kids, they didn’t see my phone.”
Reacting to her tweet, the FCT police said an investigation has commenced.
” Investigation is in progress, We thank everyone for the many helpful information coming in from all quarters and urge all to exercise calm and patience as we get to the root of this. kindly check your DM @Ameerah_sufyan.”
No update has been given by Ameerah since she first shared the tweet.
