The 48 Hours television program covered the horrific tale of Tylee and JJ Daybell’s mother, Lori Vallow Daybell, and her husband, Chad Daybell, who are currently being held in custody in Idaho while they await trial for murder.

Last month, Lori Vallow Daybell was charged in front of an Idaho judge after a court decision indicating that her competency had been restored and her case could move forward.

Chad was charged the year after the accusations were made in May 2021 after which he was arraigned.

Chad Daybell was detained at the Fremont County Jail at 5:21 p.m., according to online records. He was held for tampering with or erasing evidence.

Mark Means, Daybell’s attorney, chose not to address the arrest. The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office has been contacted by the news to provide Daybell’s mugshot.

The bodies were found Tuesday morning after authorities carried out a search warrant at the Daybell home on 1900 East in Fremont County.

According to Rexburg Police Chief Shane Turman, Assistant Chief Gary Hagen, and Fremont County Sheriff Len Humphries, who held a brief press conference on Tuesday afternoon, the remains were found but no one has been able to identify them.

According to EastIdahoNews.com, numerous witnesses claim to have seen three officers pull Daybell over close to his home at around 11:30 a.m.

He was wearing a baseball cap, blue jeans, and a gray button-up shirt. He apparently got out of his silver SUV, was restrained, and then police took off with him. His car was then towed away.
