Why did Tory Lanez Shoot Megan thee Stallion?

Tory Lanez, a singer and rapper shot Megan Thee Stallion in the foot during an argument that occurred on July 12, 2020, after the rappers left a pool party at Kylie Jenner’s Los Angeles home.

Lanez was charged with three felonies, including assault with a semiautomatic firearm, in October 2020, and a protective order was issued against him, prohibiting him from contacting Megan or coming within 100 feet of Megan Thee Stallion.

Tory violated the protective order in August 2021, and his bail was raised to $250,000 from $190,000.

During the trial against Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion claimed that Lanez, became enraged after disparaging his musical talent. She claimed she demanded to be let out of a luxury car before he opened fire on her.

She testified before the jury that Tory Lanez had told her to “dance” before opening fire.  According to reports, several bullet fragments were removed from Megan Thee Stallion’s feet after the shooting, but some remain.

Tory Lanez was found guilty of assaulting Megan Thee Stallion on December 23 2022. Tory Lanez, is facing up to 22 years in prison for the felony charges and he could also face deportation when he is sentenced on January 25 2023.
