Suspected Herdsmen Assault Benue Neighborhood, Kill Two Farmers
A minimum of two folks have been killed by suspected herdsmen that attacked Kyungwa Tombo Ward, close to the Ayilamo neighborhood within the Emblem Native Authorities Space of Benue State on Monday.
In response to Every day Put up, the incident was confirmed by the Chairman of the native authorities space, Agber Terse, who recognized the deceased as; Bem Uhembe and Mungwa Zuzu.
He stated the deceased have been coming back from their farm round 5pm on Monday after they have been attacked by herders, including that their corpse had been deposited at Ayilamo mortuary.
He alleged that the deceased have been all from Tse Ibor village, simply as he alleged that the settlement was taken over by suspected herders.
The Chairman blamed militant herders for the killing of the duo occasioned by the constant invasion of Tombo ward, a farming settlement, which had been below sustained assaults by gunmen suspected to be herders since 2016.
As of the time of submitting this report, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Catherine Anene, didn’t choose up her requires remark.
