Man Arrested For Stabbing Chief Imam For Having Sekz With His Second Wife

Umar Jibril, popularly known as Ba’adama has been arrested by the police in Niger State for allegedly stabbing the chief Imam of Edati to death for sleeping with his second wife.

According to the State Commissioner of Police, Adamu Usman, the incident was to have happened on Monday, 12, April after the suspect caught the chief Imam in bed with his wife.

He said that Jibril confessed to the crime and said that the Chief Imam has been secretly having an affair with his second wife.

Narrating the incident, Jibril said that he was sitting in front of his house when the cleric walked past him and went to his neighbor’s house.

Shortly after that, his second wife named, Aishatu Umar also came out of his house, telling him she wants to go and ease herself behind the compound.

Jibril said that his wife’s delayed and due to that, he had to go out and look for her but eventually, he heard his wife’s voice in the neighbor’s house.

He was forced to enter the house and to his surprise, he saw his wife and the Chief Imam in bed naked.

“I entered and met the Chief Imam naked on the bed with my wife. They were sleeping together. I didn’t do anything, I left them and went to my brother’s house to report what I saw,” Jibril said.

Jibril said that the Chief Imam invited him over to talk to him about the incident but the discussion led to a heated argument where he lost his cool and snatched the iron rod with Alhaji Alhassan and stabbed him in the neck.

The suspect is currently in the custody of the Niger State police and will be arraigned before the court as soon as possible for prosecution.
