Katsina police smash automotive theft syndicates, arrest six

The Katsina State Police Command has arrested six suspected members of automotive theft syndicates.

 

Spokesperson of the command, SP Gambo Isah, who disclosed this in a press release on Wednesday, Could 18, mentioned two stolen automobiles had been recovered from the suspects.

 

“On 05/05/2022 at about 2330hrs, primarily based on a tip off, Police Patrol Workforce hooked up to Malumfashi Division, accosted the duo of 1 Aminu Musa and Kabiru Sa’idu, each ‘M’, of Ketare village, Kankara LGA of Katsina state, at Dayi, in possession of a Motorized vehicle, Honda, Civic, black in color, with registration quantity ABC 800 SL, fairly suspected to be stolen. In the midst of investigation, suspects confessed to have stolen the motorized vehicle at Kuje Space, Abuja. Investigation is ongoing,” the assertion learn.

“Equally, on 07/05/2022 at about 1100hrs, the Command succeeded in busting one other syndicate of automotive thieves, who conspired and stole away a motorized vehicle, Toyota Camry, 2000 mannequin, inexperienced in color with registration quantity KTN 918 DK, valued N700,000 belonging to at least one Idris Muhammed Garba, ‘M’, of Kashe Naira Quarters, Mashi LGA,”

 

Nemesis caught up with the suspects once they had been arrested with the car in Bauchi state.

Gambo gave names of the suspects as; Babangida Danjuma, 30, of Sabuwar Unguwa Quarters, Katsina, Muhammadu Abdurahaman, 25, of Kofar Kaura Quarters, Katsina, Nasiru Lawalm, 19, of Sheka Makaranta Quarters, Kano state, Abdullahi B. Muhamud, 40, of Watin Dada Quarters, Bauchi state and Ibrahim, of Jos, Plateau state (now at giant)

 

In the midst of investigation, the car was recovered and the suspects confessed to the fee of the offence.
