Kristen Mary Jenner was born on November 5, 1955, in San Diego, California, United States as the eldest of two children born to Mary Jo “M. J.” Shannon Campbell and Robert True “Bob” Houghton.

Kris Jenner’s mother owned a children’s clothing store, while her father Robert Houghton worked as an engineer. Kris rose to fame starring in the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Her parents divorced when she was seven years old.

Kris Jenner was raised alongside her younger sister, Karen Casey Houghton. She attended Clairemont High School and graduated in 1973. She also worked for American Airlines as a flight attendant for a year in 1976.
