Presenter Sally Taylor collaborated with the late Harry Gration on the BBC South Today programme. On Twitter, the journalist recently paid respects to her former co-host, Harry Gration.

People are interested in learning about the well-known BBC presenter’s activities throughout the years and the reasons behind her long-ago departure from South Today. Since 1987, Taylor has been a broadcaster on the BBC programme, and her viewers adored her.

Let’s find out more about Sally Taylor’s situation today, what happened to her, and the latest information on her health and condition.

What Has Been Happening To Sally Taylor Today On South?

Sally Taylor, a broadcaster for BBC South Today, left the programme in 1999 after learning she had breast cancer at the age of 42. The host said that she will be quitting the programme to get ready for a major operation to treat her breast cancer.

The journalist chose to undergo a double mastectomy after learning that she had breast cancer in early March.

Recently, Sally underwent surgery to remove a lump from her right breast. Even though the lump was benign, her doctor advised her to have her right breast removed because they discovered some tumour cells there.

Her mother passed away from breast cancer while she was in her thirties, so the 42-year-old woman decided not to take any chances and had both of her breasts removed.

In order to prepare for her operation in the late 1990s, the South Today co-presenter left the programme.

Taylor did make a brief appearance on BBC South Today, sitting in for Dorcas Henry when he passed out during a live broadcast in 2003. Additionally, she and Naga Munchetty co-hosted the South Today Debate on BBC One, which was renamed the Spending Review in 2010 and included on BBC South News in 2020.

Is She Ill or Retired? Health and Illness Update

Sally Taylor is continuing on her healing road and hasn’t yet made a comeback to television, despite there being no official declaration of her retirement.

She did, however, recently pay respect to the late broadcasting veteran Harry Gration on her Twitter, writing,

“Preserve the lovely memories you have of the friendly, compassionate, dearly loved, and gifted #HarryGration! Since there have been so many #WhenHarryMetSally farewells, I am confident that I will. Helen x, I’m thinking of you

Since they co-hosted the BBC programme South Today from 1995 to 1999, the two became incredibly close.

The co-host of BBC South Today has apparently been admitted to the hospital for additional treatments since April 2021 since she has not yet totally healed from her breast cancer from the 2000s.

In 2021, Sally tweeted an update on her health, stating that she hasn’t provided one since her stint in the hospital and that she is still healing. Therefore, we wish the journalist well and good health.
