UCL final: Thiago Silva gives credit to Lampard after Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Man City

Chelsea centre-back, Thiago Silva, has credited the membership’s former supervisor, Frank Lampard, for being a part of the Blues’ journey to successful the Champions League this season.

Chelsea defeated Manchester Metropolis 1-0 within the Champions League ultimate on Saturday evening in Porto, because of Kai Havertz’s first-half aim.

The Stamford Bridge membership wouldn’t have made it to the Champions League ultimate with out Lampard having first guided them out of the group stage.

Recall that Lampard was sacked in January and was changed by Thomas Tuchel.

Talking after the match, Silva, who limped out of the ultimate within the first half, hailed Lampard, who signed him from PSG final summer season.

“With out Lampard, I might not be right here,” the Brazilian defender instructed RMC Sport.

“I’m very glad, and I hope he shall be too.”

“That is an important second in my profession,” Silva added.

“I’m actually very glad. We didn’t handle it with PSG [in last season’s final against Bayern Munich], however immediately I’m very glad. I hope PSG do it too.

“Every time PSG had been knocked out, it was made out to be my fault. It’s a disgrace. I did the whole lot I might for the group.”
