(Reuters) – Sony Interactive Leisure will purchase videogame developer Bungie Inc in a deal valued at $3.6 billion, the businesses stated on Monday, making this the third deal this month in a quick consolidating gaming sector.
Bellevue, Washington-based Bungie, which labored on the Halo videogame collection, break up with Microsoft Corp and have become a privately held firm in 2007.
The deal follows Microsoft’s almost $70 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard and Take-Two’s deal to purchase Zynga this month.
Bungie has labored on a quantity widespread gaming titles together with “Marathon”, “Delusion” and “Future.”
