The Queen is reportedly spending hundreds of thousands of kilos funding Prince Andrew’s battle towards intercourse abuse allegations.
The Duke of York is being sued in New York by Virginia Giuffre, now 38, who claims he sexually abused her on three separate events when she was 17 in London, New York and on billionaire paedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s Caribbean island. Andrew, 61, has strongly denied the allegations.
Her Majesty, 95, agreed to pay for the duke’s authorized defence final 12 months shortly after his disastrous interview on BBC Newsnight, in keeping with the Every day Telegraph.
The duke final week expanded his American legal group to incorporate Melissa Lerner alongside his lead counsel Andrew Brettler.
Mr Brettler is considered charging the Duke round $2,000 (£1,476) an hour.
The Queen will supply funds from her personal Duchy of Lancaster property, the paper reported.
