The Kano State Police Command says it has rescued an 80-year-old group chief, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo, kidnapped in Chiromawa city of Garun Mallam Native Authorities Space of the state.

Alhaji Nadabo, who owns Chiromawa Petroleum Station, holds the normal title of Sarkin Noman Kano, the chief of Kano farmers.

It was gathered that the sufferer was kidnapped by armed kidnappers at his filling station positioned at Bakin Tasha space round 7:35pm on Friday, November 12.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the rescue to newsmen, mentioned after receiving the report that the person was kidnapped, the command instantly swung into motion.

“On receipt of the report, the Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, raised and instructed a staff of Operation Puff Adder led by CSP Usman Maisoro to rescue the sufferer and arrest the culprits,” he said.

In keeping with the PPRO, after the police mounted stress on the abductors, they launched the sufferer.

“With mixed efforts of native Vigilante and members of the group, the abductors have been trailed and with sustained comply with up, they launched the sufferer unharmed on the identical date at about 2020hrs and fled. Extra Puff Adder groups have been deployed and have been directed to make sure the arrest of the culprits,” Kiyawa added.
