“People made billions from #EndSARS negotiations” – Omoyele Sowore. Omoyele Sowore, has made damming claims that some Nigerians have become billionaires from negotiating on how they can put an end to the #EndSARS protests nationwide.

Nigerians are currently protesting in numbers against the flagrant abuse of their human rights by officers of the Nigeria Police Force. Activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, has now come out to claim that people have turned the movement to a money making machine.

He made this known in a tweet, while reacting to reports that business leaders and some social media influencers have entered into negotiations on how to end the #EndSARS protests. He wrote;

“I will not be part of any negotiations regarding #ENDSARS, many have entered into these negotiations and come out of the other side becoming billionaires, to them it is a game! The only negotiation I will ever engage in is that of the surrender of our oppressors! #RevolutionNow.”

This is coming amidst reports that Flutterwave deactivated the bank account of #EndSARS campaigners.

A group of feminists managing the account said Flutterwave broke a link holding donation instruction to support the struggle. Peoples Gazette confirmed the link was broken on Tuesday afternoon.

Flutterwave issued a warning to the account administrators on Monday evening about an update that would be carried out on the platform, but their action became suspicious when their bank account was also deactivated.

Sources also said the development followed pressure from CBN and other government institution that the protests finance stream should be cut off.

The account has raised N25 million, $9,000, CA$4,450, £5,000 before the deactivation.
