Gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked a ECWA church in Kogi State, killed one and kidnapped three worshippers.

 

The incident occurred on the ECWA Church in Okedayo, Kabba, headquarters of Kabba Bunu Native Authorities Space of the state on Sunday morning, September 19.

It was gathered that the gunmen totally armed with AK-47 rifles numbering 5 invaded the church positioned alongside the Expressway of Kabba-Okene street at about 8am taking pictures sporadically as they made their approach into the church premises.

A supply disclosed that some worshipers took cowl whereas others in an try to flee had been kidnapped.

The gunmen killed one worshiper who was on his technique to the church for Sunday service.

“The gunshots left members confused, scamper for security, with the gunmen killing one and taking away three.” the supply advised Nigerian Tribune.

The person that was killed was recognized because the Deputy Chief Safety Officer of a better establishment within the space.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP William Aya, who confirmed the incident, stated officers had been on the path of the abductors.
