Nine cultists arrested during bloody clash in Ogun

The Police in Ogun State has arrested 9 suspected Eiye cult members within the Ajegunle space of Ibogun, Ifo Native Authorities.

Ogun police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, stated the suspects have been arrested throughout a bloody conflict between them and members of one other confraternity.

The suspects have been recognized by Oyeyemi as Sodiq Olabisi, Oluwatosin Andrew, Oladimeji Oyedele, Wasiu Raheem, Oyedokun Lekan, Yusuf Ajetunmobi, Busari Taoreed, Bolaji Raphael and Salami Toheeb.

PRESS INFORMANT learnt that the police bought a misery name at Ibogun divisional headquarters that there was a conflict between the 2 rival cult teams.

The DPO of the division, CSP Samuel Oladele, reportedly led his males to the scene.

“On sighting the policemen, the cultists, who had already inflicted critical accidents on the chest of 1 member of Alora group, ran away with their injured colleagues, whereas police efficiently apprehended the 9 suspects,” Oyeyemi stated.

One cutlass, 5 knives, two axes, 5 cellphone batteries and N4,000 money have been recovered from them, Oyeyemi advised PRESS INFORMANT on Wednesday.
