New Zambian President appoints prison official who detained him under former administration as Deputy Commissioner Gen. of Correctional Service (video)

New Zambian president, Hakainde Hichilema has sworn in a jail official who detained him beneath the previous administration as Deputy Commissioner Normal of the Correctional Service.

Talking throughout the swearing-in ceremony at State Home in Lusaka on Wednesday, September 1, President Hichilema congratulated the brand new appointees and paid tribute to Deputy Commissioner Normal of Zambia Correctional Service Kuyomba Bwalya for the professionalism exhibited towards him when he was detained at Mukobeko Most Correctional Service.

The Head of State mentioned he questioned how Mr. Bwalya had managed to remain affordable beneath an oppressive regime when he was in detention.
