Unknown gunmen have kidnapped one Barr. Mohammed Abubakar Opu, the Secretary of Nasarawa State Unbiased Electoral Fee.

DAILY POST learnt that the incident occured on Tuesday night time when the assailants invaded the residence of the sufferer at Bakin Rijiya village, alongside Lafia-Shendam highway within the state.

The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ramham Nansel confirmed the event in an announcement he issued and forwarded to DAILY POST on Wednesday morning.

In accordance with the PPRO, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Adesina Soyemi has led a detachment of Police personnel to the realm to make sure that the sufferer is rescued unharmed.

“On receipt of the complaints, the Commissioner of Police, CP Adesina Soyemi instantly led a detachment of Police personnel comprising of personnel of the Anti Kidnapping unit, Police Cellular Drive, Counter Terrorism Unit and other tactical items of the Command to the scene.

“Consequently, the Deputy Commissioner of Police accountable for State Legal Investigation Division was additionally directed to maneuver to the scene and conduct a complete investigation inorder to unveil the faces of these accountable for the fee of the despicable act, rescue the sufferer and arrest the perpetrators.
