Sean Payton Wife: Meet Skylene Montgomery: Sean Payton, officially known as Sean Patrick Payton is an American football coach and a former quarterback.

As a former American football player quarterback, he had a successful career playing for a number of teams including the Chicago Bruisers, and Pittsburgh Gladiators during the inaugural season of the Arena Football League.

Payton also played for Chicago Bears, and Leicester Panthers leading them to a touchdown on their first possession, and an 8-5 regular season record.

That same season saw the Panthers go to the Quarterfinals of the playoffs BAFA National Leagues, eventually losing to the London Olympians. Afterward, Payton returned to the US to take up a coaching position.

Payton started his coaching career in 1988 as an offensive assistant at San Diego State University. While working at San Diego State, he also coached Marshall Faulk from 1992 to 1993.

Since becoming a coach, he has been associated with a number of teams including; the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, and Dallas Cowboys. He served as the head coach of the New Orleans Saints from 2006 to 2021.

Payton has worked under eight head coaches and twelve of his assistant coaches became head coaches in the National Football League (NFL) or National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)

Payton joined Fox to work in the studio throughout 2022, becoming a part of the Fox NFL Sunday panel as a fill-in for Jimmy Johnson’s off days. He was also in talks to join Amazon’s NFL coverage before accepting the role.

As of 2023, Sean Payton has been married twice. His first marriage was to Beth Shuey. The pair got married in 1992 and separated in 2014. Payton met Beth at Indiana State University while coaching there.

After his split from his first wife, Payton got married to Skylene Montgomery in 2021.

Skylene is a former American beauty queen, professional nurse, and volleyball coach. She represented West Virginia at the Miss USA 2009 pageant formerly known as Miss West Virginia.

Skylene was born on December 4, 1984, in Petersburg, Virginia as the only child of her parents.
