‘Martin’ co-star Tommy Ford dies at age 54

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Actor Thomas Mikal Ford, better known as Tommy Ford and largely known for his role on the Fox sitcom “Martin,” has died at age 54.

According to TMZ, Ford was admitted to the hospital on Sunday, and placed on life support, after an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen. His health has steadily declined throughout his hospital stay.

Ford portrayed Tommy Strawn, one of Martin Lawrence’s best friends on the hit Fox sitcom,”Martin,” which ran from 1992-1997.

Locally, Ford was recently seen in “The Land: FAU,” which screened during the 5th Annual Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival.

According to IMDB, Ford has several completed new projects, and others currently in post-production.
