Man Dies While Exhuming Corpse In Ogun Cemetery

A yet-to-be recognized man has died whereas making an attempt to exhume a corpse at a cemetery in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

PREMIUM TIMES learnt that the incident occurred on the Muslim cemetery in Iberekodo, Abeokuta North Native Authorities space of Ogun state.

Abimbola Oyeyemi, the police spokesperson in Ogun State, confirmed the incident to PREMIUM TIMES on Wednesday.

He, nonetheless, stated he couldn’t verify what killed the person, including that the corpse has been deposited in a mortuary in Abeokuta.

“Sure, a dull physique was discovered on the Muslim cemetery near Iberekodo there. The physique has been taken to a mortuary and investigations have commenced”.

Muheed Adeniyi, a witness, stated the person was discovered useless contained in the cemetery on Sunday morning.

In keeping with him, the deceased man was seen lifeless close to a grave he had already dug to exhume the corpse inside it.

“However sadly for him, he died there beside the grave. We noticed the grave he was digging and the instruments. We didn’t know the way he died. Perhaps the useless physique killed him,” Mr Adeniyi stated.

Residents of the realm stated the person died in a pool of his blood, with a number of of them believing that he will need to have been struck useless by a ghost.
