TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan’s client confidence fell in January for a second month, the federal government mentioned on Monday, because the fast unfold of the Omicron coronavirus variant dampened consumers’ temper.

A Cupboard Workplace survey confirmed the sentiment index for common households, which incorporates views on incomes and jobs, was at 36.7 in January, down from 39.1 in December.

The federal government downgraded its evaluation of the sentiment index, saying it was stalling.
