Edo State governor, Governor Godwin Obaseki visited Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II.
The incumbent cum newly-elected governor made this known in a recent social media post on his Instagram handle as he shared some photos.

As a caption, he wrote;

“Today, I led my counterparts on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party on a thank you visit to the Benin Monarch, His Royal Majesty Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II.

With me, during the visit were Governor Nyesom Wike; @seyi_amakinde of Oyo State; @aminuwaziritambuwal of Sokoto; Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State and chieftains of our party including the PDP Vice Natl. Chairman, S/South, Chief Dan Orbih, and the Edo State party Chairman , Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi.

I expressed my profound appreciation to HRM Oba Ewaure II for the warm reception and assured him that my administration will serve the interest of Edo people, who gave me the mandate for a second term as governor.”
