ECWA pastor hacked to death by unknown assailants in Kaduna

A pastor of ECWA church in Kibori-Asha Awuce in Zangon Kataf Native Authorities Space of Kaduna State, Reverend Silas Yakubu Ali, has been murdered by unknown assailants.

Reverend Ali departed for Kafanchan on Saturday, September 11 and was not heard from till his corpse was discovered by a search occasion on Sunday morning at Kibori group, close to Asha-Awuce, the place he was attacked and macheted to loss of life.

The Kaduna Commissioner for Inside Safety and House Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the incident in a press release on Sunday, appealed for calm after the “merciless and horrifying killing”

“The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai expressed deep disappointment on the report of the killing, which he described as horrifying and merciless. The Governor supplied prayers for the repose of the soul of the cleric,” the commissioner said.

“Going additional, Governor El-Rufai despatched his condolences to the household of Reverend Silas Yakubu Ali, and to the ECWA Church in Kibori-Asha Awuce, as he prayed for God to grant them fortitude and luxury over this sudden and painful loss.

“The Governor urged security businesses to accentuate efforts in the direction of apprehending the perpetrators of the heinous killing, whereas interesting to members of the group to keep up calm. Safety businesses are conducting investigations within the basic space.” he added.
