Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested three suspects in reference to the diversion of products valued at N4.7 million belonging to an organization.

Spokesperson of the command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi in a press release on Sunday, September 5, stated that the suspects, Oluwaseyi Oyetunde, Segun Oluwaseun and Chijoke Ogbu had been arrested following a report made at Agbara Divisional headquarters on the twenty ninth of August 2021, by one Oluwatosin Ayodeji.

Ayodeji reported that Oluwaseyi Oyetunde, a driver with Hayat Kimya Firm, loaded items value of N4.7 million to be delivered to a buyer in Lagos on the twenty fourth of August 2021 and had not been seen since then.

Upon the report, the DPO Agbara Division, SP Saleh Dahiru, detailed his crack detectives to unravel the thriller behind the sudden disappearance of the motive force and the products.

The workforce launched into an intelligence-based investigation and traced the motive force and the truck to Lagos State the place he was promptly arrested with the empty truck.

On interrogation, the motive force confessed that he diverted the products to the receivers, who purchased them at a giveaway worth.

His confession led the policemen to the outlets of the 2 receivers, Segun Oluwaseun and Chijeoke Ogbu, the place components of the stolen items had been recovered and the 2 receivers arrested.

In the meantime, the Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered a full investigation into the case with the view to recovering the remaining stolen items, and to formally cost the suspects to court docket for prosecution.
