A female doctor has revealed what female doctors go through to find a partner in Nigeria.

Taking to Twitter, the doctor identified as Tejumola, stated that Nigerian female doctors are hardly desired for who they are.

She stated that the moment men hear that a lady is a doctor or a nurse, they bring up marriage.

She added that men are not ready to spend on female doctors like other girls because they believe that they have money.

Her words,

“It’s quite interesting and sad to see that Nigerian female medics are hardly ever desired for who they are.

The moment you tell most Nigerian men you’re a doctor/nurse, they bring up marriage because to them, they’ve found a trophy.

Your entire personality doesn’t matter, they are not willing to spend on you like they would other girls, they just want that “trophy” in their house.

And you spend so much time in school that by the time you graduate, these men think they are doing you a favour.

And they believe you have so much money, they’ll never raise a finger to support you.

I just find it really hysterical and that’s why “I’ve always wanted to marry a doctor” will forever be a red flag to me”.
