Connecticut teacher arrested for pulling 12-year-old’s hair: ‘No justification’

A Connecticut trainer is about to seem in courtroom Monday after allegedly pulling a 12-year-old pupil’s hair inside a classroom, reviews say. 

Jennifer Wells-Jackson, 49, has been charged with threat of damage to a minor and second-degree breach of peace following the alleged incident at King/Robinson Interdistrict Magnet College in New Haven on Feb. 1, in line with WTNH. 

“There’s sure belongings you say and there’s sure belongings you don’t say, there’s sure belongings you do and sure belongings you’re not alleged to do particularly when coping with folks’s youngsters,” a girl who recognized herself because the baby’s mom instructed the station. “On the finish of the day, there’s no justification for placing your palms on somebody’s baby.” 

The incident occurred on the King/Robinson Interdistrict Magnet College in New Haven on Feb. 1, in line with police.

Video purportedly showing the incident depicts a girl grabbing a pupil’s hair as classmates are heard shouting. The girl then releases her grip and the kid backs away. 

New Haven police instructed FOX61 that the scholar concerned was 12 years outdated and declined medical consideration. 

Wells-Jackson was launched on $20,000 bond following her arrest. 

“The district takes pupil security very severely. The college and the district are cooperating absolutely with the investigation by the New Haven Police Division,” New Haven Public Colleges stated in an announcement to FOX61. 

 

It was not clear what precipitated the incident, however WTNH reviews that it’s the fourth time a trainer has been arrested within the district since November. 

A New Haven Public Colleges spokesperson instructed Fox Information Digital on Monday that Wells-Jackson has been positioned on go away pending the results of the investigation.
