She developed a love for acting at a younger age and was consistent throughout her career. During childhood, she wrote and acted at a church and later acted at Birmingham High School.

Cindy Williams attended Los Angeles City College with a theater major and after school, she started her professional career by landing national commercials, which included Foster Grant sunglasses and TWA.

Her first roles in television, among others, were on Room 222, Nanny and the Professor, and Love, American Style. Cindy Williams starred in several movies including American Graffiti and The Conversation.

She’s best known for her role as Shirley Feeney on the television sitcom Happy Days, and Laverne & Shirley. Cindy Williams died in Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at the age of 75.
