Anita Pointer Parents: Who Are Anita Pointer Parents?: Anita Pointer, officially known as Anita Marie Pointer was an American musician.

She was a singer and a songwriter who was best known as a founding member of the vocal group the Pointer Sisters. Anita Pointer and her sisters (Pointer Sisters) had commercial success in the 1970s and ’80s.

In 1974, Anita’s songwriting talent helped the group make music history when their single, ‘Fairytale’ became a hit on the country music charts and enabled The Pointer Sisters to become the first black female group to perform at the Grand Ole Opry.

‘Fairytale’ won the group its first Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group, and a Grammy Nomination for Best Country Song of the year in 1975. Anita Pointer released several songs and has been consistent throughout her entire career.

Anita Pointer died at her home in Los Angeles on Saturday, December 31, 2022, at the age of 74. Her cause of death was cancer

Anita Pointer was born in Oakland, California, United States, the fourth of six children to Sarah Elizabeth (mother) and Reverend Elton Pointer (father). His father died in 1979.

Though Anita was born in California, her parents were natives of Arkansas hence traveled yearly from California to Arkansas to visit Pointer’s grandparents who lived in Prescott.

Anita Pointer Parents lived their lives away from the eyes of the public hence not much is known about them.
