MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – An Albert Lea man will spend the remainder of his life in federal jail on a sextortion and baby pornography conviction.
33-year-old Travis Mayer was sentenced to life plus ten years on Friday. Mayer was discovered responsible of downloading and receiving baby porn from a Russia-based web site in 2017, and sexually exploiting a 15-year-old lady in 2018 by persuading her into producing baby pornography.
Prosecutors say Mayer additionally tried to hinder justice by requesting a witness testify falsely within the baby sexual exploitation investigation in 2019.
