The minister of Roads and Highways Mr. Kwesi Amoako-Atta has mentioned that the Accra Procuring Mall which is the state-of-the-art retail and purchasing heart in Accra will quickly be demolished and relocated.

The Accra Mall which is positioned on the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange adjoining to the Tema Motorway will likely be demolished to pave manner for the development of the Accra- Tema motorway infrastructural growth street venture to ease visitors congestion in Accra.

In accordance with Mr. Amoako-Atta, the venture is a part of the Nana Akufo Addo’s agenda to re-develop the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange and Accra-Tema Motorway.

In an interview on Asempa FM, the Street minister disclosed that there are plans underway for the opposite tasks which embody the Tetteh Quarshie interchange, Apankwa, Achimota interchanges, and the Accra-Tema Motorway to ease visitors congestion in Accra.

Mr. Amoako Atta emphasised that the placement of the Accra Mall is among the congestions and a significant problem that must be corrected. He acknowledged that the Mall can be relocated to make sure the reworking system of 11 roads interchange particularly Lashibi, Abattoir, Teshie Hyperlink, Fiesta Royale, and Neoplan Junction in Accra.

“The scope of labor of the venture is as follows: 10-lane 19.5-kilometer motorway (4 lanes of strengthened concrete freeway, six lanes of City Freeway), reconstruction of Tetteh Quarshie to Apenkwa (5.7km), reworking of Tetteh Quarshie, Apenkwa and Achimota interchanges, and the development of 5 new interchanges will likely be accomplished,” Mr. Amoako-Atta disclosed.
