Ndigbo Community in Calabar Receives 7 days Quit Notice to Leave Calabar:Group Says

A group called Nka Ikemesit Mkparawa Essien Efik Duob-Eba which is domicile in the Palace of the Obong of Calabar in a statement has given The Head of the Igbo community to leave Calabar or face the consequences.

 

The said notice was on Thursday addressed to the leader of the Ndigbo Community in Calabar Eze Ndigbo. The group said the Head of the Ndigbo Community has claimed to be the Obong of Calabar whereas he is not as they regard it as a taboo to the throne

“For insulting the Obong of Calabar, calling yourself or making yourself the Obong of Calabar, when Obong of Calabar is on the throne we give you 7 days to leave the town,” the group fumes

 

It was learnt that the incident allegedly occurred during the award given to Innoson Motors on the 27th March, 2021, at the University of Calabar.
