2023: Southern Governors Will Oppose Any Party That Fields A Northerner – Akeredolu

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state on Friday stated the Southern Governors Discussion board will vehemently confront any political celebration that fields a northerner as presidential candidate within the 2023 basic elections.

The governor who disclosed this whereas that includes as visitor on Channels Tv programme ‘Politics At the moment’ monitored by DAILY INDEPENDENT, stated the Southern governors from three main political events of All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP) and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) are unanimous of their decision on zoning of the presidency and can observe it to the letter.

The Southern governors of their assembly in Lagos in July had stated the presidency must be zoned to Southern Nigeria in 2023 when President Muhammadu Buhari completes his second time period. Additionally they reiterated it at their assembly in Enugu on Thursday.

Based on Akeredolu, who’s the Chairman of the Southern Governors Discussion board “If we’ve something that we’ve agreed, that we’ve unanimity, it’s the subject of president in 2023. All of us, no matter our political celebration. There are three political events which are within the Southern Governors Discussion board. We’ve APGA, PDP and APC and all of us agreed on this”.
