You Won’t Believe Who Was a Fan of New Girl

In January, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone, who performed Winston and CeCe on New Woman, launched a re–watch podcast Welcome to Our Present from iHeartMedia, with Zooey Deschanel, who performs the present’s titular character Jessica Day.

Now, in an E! Information unique interview—and within the spirit of reminiscing on previous episodes—the pair revealed one explicit fan of the hit–sitcom: Kobe Bryant. 

It seems that Bryant was such an enormous fan of the present, that sooner or later he determined to cease by the Fox Studio Lot in Los Angeles to make a shock go to and watch the forged movie.

“As I’m popping out of my trailer,” Lamorne recalled, “I see this tall dude in a Nike monitor swimsuit strolling as much as the stage with one of many executives.”

“I used to be like, what actor is 6’6″? Like, that is foolish, who’s that?” he stated. “And up comes Kobe Bryant.”

He continued, “I genuinely felt like I used to be about to have a coronary heart assault. I didn’t know what to say. If anybody is aware of me, they know that I’m an enormous basketball fan.”

And whereas he was starstruck, Lamorne realized Kobe had come only for them. “Our stage is the one one on that aspect, so I am going, ‘He’s coming right here.’ And Kobe is available in to observe us carry out and he sat again and he chatted us up.”

Feels like all of Lamorne’s swishes got here true that day!
