Why I ‘Fight’ With Barcelona Defender, Gerard Pique – Shakira

Shakira, a prominent pop singer, has explained the source of her constant feud with Gerard Pique, a Barcelona defender.

The Colombian singer has been involved with Pique for nearly a decade, and the two have two children together, Milan and Sasha, but they never married.

Pique and Shakira met on the set of one of her music videos, and they work on different timetables.

The 45-year-old has now spoken up about how it has affected their relationship.

“My poor husband, slash boyfriend, slash baby daddy, whatever you want to call him; he has to wait up for me so long. He is tired of waiting up,” Shakira told podcast Planet Hero with H (via GOAL).

She added, “Because Colombian time is not the same as Catalonian time, Spanish time, his mind is structured like that and mine… I have become a lot more punctual since I met him.

“[But] the times that we actually fight is because I am late, and he’s waiting up.”

In other news, Femi Kuti and his son Made Kuti have been shortlisted for Grammy Awards in the category of Best Global Music Album for their joint album ‘Legacy +,’ demonstrating the family’s continuing influence in music.

Made Kuti acknowledged his pride in being a part of the family while accepting honors on behalf of his father (Femi Kuti) and grandpa (Fela Kuti) at the Afrobeat Hall of Fame Awards in Lagos over the weekend.

The excited Made said: “I never let it pass by my cautious thoughts that I am always so grateful and honored to be a part of this family and to be born in this family so when I collect awards like this and learn about everything that they’ve done, it is inspirational not just for me alone for but everybody else that is a beneficiary of all the accomplishments that they’ve had.
