Richard Jacobson is a 21-year-old hiker who died after falling roughly 700 ft off a cliff whereas making an attempt to take a selfie.

In line with authorities in Arizona, the unhappy incident occurred on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022.

On Thursday Jan. 27, 2022, a spokesperson with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Workplace stated Richard Jacobson had been tenting with a buddy on high of Flatiron Summit in Misplaced Dutchman State Park, about 40 miles east of Phoenix, when he went to the sting to take an image and slipped.

“Mr. Jacobson went to go take {a photograph} with himself and town skyline within the background, and he misplaced his footing, and he slipped, and he fell,” Sergeant Doug Peoble, with the sheriff’s workplace, instructed native station Arizona’s Household.
