The Orbeez challenge on TikTok has created a concern for the police authorities. Spinmaster is currently promoting an “Orbeez Challenge Activity Kit” that’s “inspired by TikTok’s #OrbeezChallenge.”

Spinmaster is the company behind orbezz production and sales.

The Orbeez Challenge entails people loading water-absorbent polymer beads into a gun before driving by and randomly shooting people.

Those who fire the gun are frequently filmed as they do so and are uploading on TikTok. Police in Florida and Georgia are warning residents about a new viral TikTok challenge that is wreaking havoc and causing harm in the area.

Though the Orbeez is soft to the touch, they can still cause injury and even skin breakdown when shot from a distance.

According to police, some teens are even freezing the water beads to increase the impact. Police in Peachtree City, Georgia, released images of a child with an injured nose and blood flowing over the torso.

The incident occurred after he was allegedly shot at by teens who had modified the beads to make them more painful.

Orbeez Challenge: Kids Use Gel Pun Pellets Shooting At Strangers

Orbeez challenge is a trend where kids are using Gel Pun Pellets to shoot at strangers. The trend has shifted from a fun game to a crime where one can be arrested if seen causing harm to others.

A suspect in a St. Patrick’s Day incident near Monroe and Outer Drive is being sought by police. In another incident, a mother and her child in a stroller were hit while walking through Ford Field Park.

“This is not a joke, it is unacceptable in Dearborn, and those liable for this crime will be held fully accountable when we find them.”

In Florida, police announced on Wednesday that a 19-year-old man from Deltona was arrested and charged with assault after shooting at an Amazon delivery driver, hitting his glasses and neck while driving.

Six teenagers have already been arrested, but police are still looking for suspects in two serious cases. One of which involved teens wearing airsoft masks walking into a restaurant and shooting people.

Police Warns Of Arrest For Doing The Orbeez TikTok Challenge

According to Dearborn police, an 18-year-old resident has been charged with assault for imitating the trend. Two others are also charged among approximately 15 reported cases in the city.

With the increasing craze of this dangerous trend, officers are asking the family and parents to take care of their children.

“Once again, we are dealing with a disturbing trend on social media that has inspired our young people to make risky decisions. It can have long-term consequences,” Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said.

“I urge people to talk to their children about what they see on social media and to be aware of the next unavoidably dangerous trend that will emerge.” The Dearborn Police Department will take a zero-tolerance stance toward activities like this that endanger the public.”

Despite the warnings and raising awareness about the effects, people are still purchasing and playing with the Orbeez Tiktok challenge kit.
