Rhonda Ferguson Death has been a massive loss for the Allstate counsel. She was a chief Legal Officer and secretary of Allstate counsel.

Rhonda Ferguson joined the Allstate Corporation as Executive Vice President and General Counsel on September 28, 2020.

Ferguson succeeded Susie Lees, who has announced her intention to retire in 2021 after 32 years with Allstate. Lees continued to serve as the company’s Chief Legal Officer and Secretary.

Ferguson came to Allstate from Union Pacific Railroad, where she was Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary.

She oversaw all legal, regulatory, and corporate governance matters.

Rhonda was collaborative while also challenging conventional wisdom. She was an invaluable asset to Allstate and transformed its customer and societal services.

Ferguson joined Union Pacific in 2016 after nearly a decade at FirstEnergy, an electric utility in her home state of Ohio. 

Rhonda served as Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Ethics Officer. She worked as an assistant earlier in her career.

On the other hand, Rhonda served on the Constellation Energy Corporation Board of Directors.

Constellation is the largest producer of carbon-free energy and sustainable solutions in the United States, serving millions of homes, institutions, the public sector, community aggregations, and businesses, including three-quarters of the Fortune 100.

According to her Linkedin profile, Ferguson was EVP, Chief Legal Officer, GC, and Secretary at Allstate Corporation. 

She was entitled to the Topmost managing committee of various prominent organizations.

From November 2020 to the present, Rhonda worked at Allstate as an Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, General Counsel, and Secretary in the Greater Chicago Area.

She worked in Allstate’s 1,900-strong legal, regulatory, corporate, ethics, government affairs, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) teams. 

 

Ferguson helped steer the company’s business strategy, ensure sound compliance, and foster a healthy legal, legislative process, and regulatory environment.

She received her education from Northwestern University. It has been an enormous loss for the company, and everyone wishes she is safe somewhere in heaven.
