What did Thom Tillis say about Ketanji Brown Jackson?

Thom Tillis criticised the Supreme Court nominee, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for having too much empathy for the offenders she sentenced as a trial judge as Republican senators continue to hammer Jackson’s record on the third day of her Senate confirmation hearing.

Part of his statement read;

“I voted against Judge Jackson’s confirmation to the Circuit Court because I had serious concerns she would legislate from the bench instead of following the Constitution and federal law as written. The fact that Judge Jackson was the strongly preferred nominee of far-left special interest groups is also a cause of concern, requiring an in-depth review of her full record”.
