A Washington State Patrol officer who defied a statewide vaccine mandate and signed off for the final time by telling Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee to “kiss my a–” is useless from COVID-19.

Former Trooper Robert LaMay, 51, who served 22 years with the State Patrol and retired final October, died on Friday. 

LaMay garnered consideration from Individuals throughout the nation after he signed off for the final time as an officer and advised Washington Gov. Jay Inslee he “can kiss my a–” over pressured vaccine mandates.

Following LaMay’s demise, Washington State Patrol Chief John R. Batiste launched an announcement praising him for his service, which Batiste mentioned “might be lengthy remembered and appreciated.”

“I’m deeply saddened over the information that our former pal and colleague Trooper Robert LaMay has handed away,” Batiste mentioned. “This company’s prayers and remembrances are along with his household and family members. Rob served honorably for over twenty years, and we have been upset to see him depart the company this previous October. His service to this state and company might be lengthy remembered and appreciated.”

“Allow us to now bear in mind our outdated pal, assist his household and family members, give thanks for his service, and resolve to fulfill the challenges forward with persevering with responsibility, dignity and respect,” Batiste added.

In his last sign-off final October, LaMay mentioned he had labored sick and buried loads of buddies over the previous 22 years of his service to the state.
