Uubra ba sa BIR? Kim Henares dares Ferolino: Don’t file ITR if Marcos’ crime ain’t flawed

Former Bureau of Inner Income (BIR) Commissioner Kim Henares has challenged Fee on Elections Commissioner Aimee Ferolino to nix submitting her earnings tax returns (ITRs) after she dominated that Ferdinand Marcos Jr. can’t be banned from working for public office for the same offense.

Henares made the dar after Ferolino wrote throughout the decision junking the disqualification case in direction of Marcos that “the failure to file tax returns isn’t inherently flawed within the absence of a regulation punishing it.”

Marcos was convicted by a Quezon Metropolis regional trial courtroom of failure to file his ITRs from 1982-1985. The ruling was upheld by the Courtroom of Appeals.

Henares, an abogado, mocked Ferolino’s logic.

“Ganito lang yan eh: Kung ganon ang perception ni Commissioner Ferolino, eh di wag siya magfile at subukan natin,” she said in a Teleradyo interview.

“E di ‘wag siya mag-file tapos tingnan natin kung yung desisyon niya ay could weight,” Henares added.

Will Ferolino’s decision be ample to exempt folks from submitting ITRs?
