US President Joe Biden has welcomed a brand new addition to the household, a pet named Commander.

Mr Biden shared a photograph yesterday on his official Twitter account with a caption that mentioned, “Welcome to the White Home, Commander”, in addition to a quick video of him tossing a ball to Commander and strolling the canine into the White Home.

The pet seems to a German shepherd, the breed of Mr Biden’s different two canines, and was a present to him from his household, in response to CNN, which first reported on the pet’s arrival after it was seen scampering across the White Home South Garden yesterday.

His title seems to be a play on Mr Biden’s standing as commander in chief of the US armed forces.

Mr Biden introduced his different canines to the White Home in January: Champ died in June at age 13, whereas Main was concerned in a number of biting incidents earlier than being returned to Delaware.
