Ukraine launches assure fund for flights by way of its airspace

KYIV (Reuters) – Ukraine’s authorities on Sunday allotted 16.6 billion hryvnia ($592 million) to ensure the continuation of flights by way of Ukrainian airspace, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal mentioned.

Shmygal mentioned on social media that the funds “have been allotted to make sure flight security in Ukraine for insurance coverage and leasing corporations.”

“This resolution will stabilise the scenario in the marketplace of passenger air transportation and can assure the return to Ukraine of our residents who’re at the moment overseas,” he mentioned.
