LONDON (Reuters) – British shopper value inflation rose greater than anticipated to five.4% in December, up from November’s 5.1% studying and its highest since March 1992, the Workplace for Nationwide Statistics stated on Wednesday.
Economists polled by Reuters had forecast that the annual CPI fee would edge as much as 5.2% in December.
