UCL: PSG star, Mbappe equals Cavani’s goals record

Paris Saint-Germain striker, Kylian Mbappe has joined Edinson Cavani as the club’s all-time top scorer in European competition.

Mbappe achieved the feat after scoring a goal in PSG’s Champions League 3-1 win over Maccabi Haifa on Wednesday.

The France World Cup winner, who has scored 30 goals in 46 UEFA Champions League matches since joining PSG in 2017, is now level with his former team-mate Cavani, who scored 30 times in 54 games in the competition between 2013 and 2020.

Meanwhile, Neymar Jr and Lionel Messi also scored against Maccabi Haifa in Israel, making it into the top three and top ten, respectively.
