Two Cameroonians Nabbed For Allegedly Possessing Counterfeit Cedis

We have chanced upon a report that confirms the arrest of two Cameroonians.

They were arrested by men of the Central East Regional Police Command and they were arrested for allegedly dealing in counterfeit cedis.

Their arrest came after a tip-off by one of their clients and this was confirmed at a recent press briefing by the Regional Police Commander, DCOP Kojo Okyere Boapeah.

In his submission, he indicated that the two foreigners had arrangements in place with one Mr. Agyemang.

A report by AdomFM Online stated that it was a money-doubling deal in which they requested GHC 50,000 stating that they can double the money to GHC 100,000.

Mr. Agyemang later suspected foul play and he proceeded to alert the police who acted swiftly and arrested them at Opeikuma.

Upon getting to their hideout, the police found a printing machine, sheets of white and black papers printed in a form of GHS 200 denominations, and the total of these fake monies was GHC 64,000.
