Bernita Landry is the wife of one of the most well-known and fearless alligator hunters in the bayou, Troy Landry.

The couple have been married since September 26th, 1981.

The couple reside in a wooden house situated in Pierre Part, Louisiana, which they built by themselves.

Bernita was born on July 16th, 1958 and she attended Patterson High School, and went on to become a teller at Patterson State Bank in 1975.

Bernita also reportedly worked as a schoolteacher and also a publicist for the History Channel.

It is also believed that Bernita regularly assists with the family business, as the Landry family have their own alligator hunting and crawfish company.

Bernita’s husband Troy Landry is the son of a fisherman and seafood distributor and so it’s not surprising that he’s exceedingly good at hunting alligators. It’s not even far-stretched to say that Troy has gator hunting in his blood.

Troy Landry consistently fills more tags than any swamper in the Louisiana and together with his sons, Jacob and Chase, and a host of family and friends, the Landry gang runs an armada of boats each season to help control the gator population.
