This is a Campaign To Ensure That Oliver is Not Kept And Tortured & Silenced- Dela

Oliver, a lawyer and one of the conveners of the Fix the country movement was arrested by the police over a post he shared on social media saying he would topple the government if the E-levy bill is passed.

He allegedly picked up after arriving at the KIA on Friday, February 11, a member of the Movement Felicity Naana Nelson confirmed to reporters.

Meanwhile, this is what Dela shared while reacting to the unfortunate devleopemnt.

“The government arrested one of my friends, Osagyefo Oliver Barker-Vormawor when he arrived from the UK to attend some programs yesterday. Oliver is the major brain behind the “Fix the Country” movement. He is also a fellow PhD student at the University of Cambridge.

The government led by the ruling New Patriotic Party has been unhappy with him for a long time and they have decided to use a post Oliver made on social media as an excuse for his arrest (Any critical thinker knows that no one planning a coup will post about it publicly).

A day before Oliver’s arrest, he spoke of plans by the government to arrest and torture him. Low and behold, he was picked up at the airport around 4pm yesterday and we were not told anything. Oliver – all Ghanaian youth fighting for a better Ghana deserves to be treated fairly.

This is a campaign to ensure that Oliver is not kept and tortured and silenced. Let’s free Oliver and make sure Ghana’s laws are allowed to work. Our hope, which is the strong youth, should not be silenced. If our kids and ourselves are to have a future at all, then we must protect those who have the audacity to hope and speak up in that hope.
