Suraj Sulaiman, the uncle of the 5-year-old pupil who was allegedly kidnapped and killed by her schoolteacher has recounted how the suspect cried bitterly when he visited the household for condolence.

It was earlier reported that the Kano State Police Command apprehended a college instructor, one Abdulmalik Mohammed Tanko, for abducting and killing his 5-year-old pupil, Hanifa Abubakar, regardless of accumulating a part of the N6m ransom he demanded.

Hanifa was kidnapped at Kawaji, in Nasarawa Native Authorities Space of the state on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Spokesperson of the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, who confirmed the arrest in a press release on Thursday, January 20, revealed that Tanko, the proprietor of a non-public faculty, poisoned the kid to loss of life on December 18, after she acknowledged him.

Talking of the arrest, Hanifa’s uncle revealed that Tanko was among the many first group of people that got here to sympathize with the aggrieved household following her abduction.

“He was filled with tears when he visited the household to console them over the kidnapping,” Sulaiman, the sufferer’s uncle mentioned.
