Emeka Nwogbo, the instructor accused of beating a 19-month-old child to demise in a faculty in Delta state, has denied the allegation.
It may be recalled that Emeka and his mum, the proprietress of the varsity, had been arrested following the demise of a 19-month-old pupil at their faculty.
The sufferer’s mom, Reward Ohaeze, had alleged that her late son was overwhelmed like a goat by three lecturers on the faculty. She famous that Emeka gave her son 31 strokes of cane, which reportedly led to his demise.
Nonetheless, chatting with newsmen after a delegation of the state authorities visited the state police command at this time, Emeka mentioned he flogged the late Obinna “like a child”.
When requested why he beat the little boy, Emeka mentioned Obinna was disciplined as a result of he pushed one other youngster.
“I didn’t kill the kid, the kid was not killed by my hand, I caned him as I’m presupposed to flog a baby, I flogged him as little as I can”, he mentioned.
The state police commissioner, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, mentioned a publish mortem might be carried out to find out the reason for demise of the deceased youngster.
