Texas boy mauled by dog while coming home from school

A 7-year-old boy in Azle, Texas, is bouncing again from a canine assault final month that left him with cuts and bruises throughout his physique and required greater than three hours of surgical procedure to restore nerve injury. 

The boy, recognized by the Parker County Sheriff’s Workplace as Conner Landers, had simply gotten off a faculty bus on Jan. 21 when a black brindle boxer and bull mastiff mixed-breed escaped a fenced yard and attacked him. 

A neighbor noticed what was occurring after her canine began barking and sprang into motion.

The Sheriff’s Workplace credited Parker with saving Connor and gave her a $500 reward for her actions. 

“We commend Conner’s neighbor for her bravery and fast actions in saving him,” Sheriff Russ Authier stated in a press release on Monday. “We’re praying for Conner to make a full restoration.”

Connor’s mother posted on Fb that her son is “getting stronger on a regular basis” and was cleared to return to high school final Friday.
